I believe that people are capable of making positive changes to their lives to make them richer and more fulfilling, and can gain the confidence needed to redirect their paths to become truly happy.
After receiving therapy myself, I saw first hand how counselling can help a person to gain perspective, understand themselves and their behaviour better, and become more empowered to make decisions to take control of their own lives.
My approach to counselling is integrative (Person Centred, CBT and Transactional Analysis), which means I am able to draw upon the most suitable model for you and your needs, combining the models in sessions where best appropriate.
I am a caring, nurturing, person who promises to listen without judgement, and will be there with you throughout the process which may be challenging or emotional at times as you work through your issues.
As a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), I adhere to their code of ethics which assures clients they will receive a high standard of professional therapy. This means always putting my clients first, building appropriate relationships, upholding personal moral qualities and respect, and committing to continued professional development. I am also working towards a Bsc Hons in Psychology.
